Made from high quality acetate; a durable, plant based bio-plastic. Metal hardware is lead and nickel-free.

Chunks clips and claws are primarily made from cellulose acetate, a plant-derived bio-plastic, certified ISCC PLUS (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification). Compared to petroleum-based plastic, acetate is more durable and more biodegradable at end of life.
Acetate and metal hardware tested and free from Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Chromium, PBBs, PBDEs and Phthalates.

Chunks was born in 2019 when Tiffany Ju couldn't find a cute hair clip, starting as a solo venture in her basement and growing into a dedicated team. With a design background from Parsons School of Design, Tiffany has crafted accessories for over a decade. Based in Seattle, Chunks proudly manufactures its products in Jinhua, China, prioritizing transparency and challenging misconceptions about Chinese manufacturing.
