Maddie found illustration through the comedy community in New York, for which she drew many show posters and flyers. Coming from this performance background, she is interested in making work that relates to an audience through a sense of playfulness and humor. She finds inspiration in many things – from medieval text illuminations to mid-century graphic designers to the various creatures with whom we share a world.
