This Summer Ebony has produced an exclusive range of vases and candle holders for Pinky’s. Sorbet Dream is a celebration of pastel skies in the Australian Summer, nostalgia for 1980’s ice-cream truck gelato and rainbow paddle pops. Piped in porcelain and lustered in love these sweet sorbet dreams will last longer than the promise of summer and resist any heatwave.

Handmade form Porcelain, stain glaze and Mother of Pearl Lustre. Each piece is unique and made with love my Ebony Russell in her Sydney studio.

Ebony Russell is an Australian artist. She received her Masters of Fine Arts (Ceramics) from the National Art School, Sydney and is now a sessional lecturer in the Ceramics Department. Establishing a reputation as one of the new generations of experimental ceramicists pushing the boundaries of the medium further into the realm of contemporary art, Russell is well known for her decadent, ostentatious and overtly feminine ceramic creations. Executed in a sugary sweet palette, her practice draws on the familiar lexicon of romanticised and kitsch decorative ornaments, imbuing them with a nostalgia which harks back to childhood and a girlish longing for more, more, more. Piped Dream Studio is home to Ebony’s functional art objects featuring a selection of decadent and joyfully ostentatious candelabras, candlesticks, vases and wearable art.
